Family and General Dentistry
Endodontic Care
Endodontic Care (Root Canals) is necessary when the nerve tissue in the tooth is irreversibly damaged due to decay, trauma, or tooth fracture. A Root canal, though scary sounding, is generally a simple one or two visit procedure that allows a patient to retain a tooth that may have been removed in the past.
Periodontal - Hygiene Care
Everyday, plaque build up can lead to tooth decay and periodontal disease. During your hygiene treatment, our registered dental hygienist will gently remove plaque from your teeth, check for periodontal disease, and demonstrate ways to improve your oral home care and brushing techniques.
Ultrasonic Scalers:
Our dental hygiene team uses ultrasonic scalers to comfortably and completely remove excessive plaque buildup from your teeth.
Arestin Therapy for Periodontal Disease
If our hygienist detects that you have active periodontal disease, she may use Arestin, an antibacterial medication, to reverse the effects of this disease. With proper care and routine follow up recare appointments, periodontal disease can be controlled and/or reversed. Periodontal disease is the number one cause for tooth loss among American adults.

ZOOM! Advanced Teeth Whitening
Everyone wants a brighter smile. Dr. Castleberry has seen amazing results with their Zoom! Advanced Whitening.
Get ready to Zoom! The Zoom! Whitening procedure is simple and painless. It begins with a short preparation to isolate your lips and gums.
Then the proprietary Zoom! Whitening Gel is applied, which is activated by a specially designed light. Teeth typically become at least six to ten shades whiter, sometimes more. A five-minute fluoride treatment completes the procedure. You will be amazed with the results! In most cases, your teeth will get even whiter the first few days after the procedure.
How Zoom! Works The Zoom! Light-activated gel was developed after years of research by Discus Dental, the leaders in professional take-home tooth whitening. The gel is a scientifically formulated, pH balanced hydrogen peroxide that, when activated by the Zoom! light, gently penetrates the teeth to remove deep stains and discoloration. With proper care and an occasional touch-up at home, your whiter smile will sparkle for years.
Night Guards
Millions of Americans grind their teeth while sleeping. This causes excessive wear on teeth and contributes to cavities and cracks. Dr. Castleberry can protect your teeth with a night guard, a device which places a protective barrier between the top and bottom teeth.
TMJ Treatment
Suffering from a jaw that sticks, pops, or clicks? You may have temporomandibular joint disorder (TMJ), a condition in which the hinge connecting your jaw does not move properly. Dr. Castleberry will perform a thorough examination along with treatment options.
Home Care Products
Because homecare is important to your optimal oral health, our practice offers a variety of products to make the most of daily brushing and flossing. These include Oral B dental professional edition toothbrush, Peridex medicated mouth rinse, Breathrx mouth rinse and Breathrx smile care kits.
Cosmetic Dentistry
Even the healthiest of smiles may need brightening, straightening, or other enhancements to make them gorgeous. You've probably seen ABC's Extreme Makeover on television. Dr. Castleberry routinely performs esthetic smile makeovers. If you want the smile of your dreams, Dr. Castleberry can help. Our cosmetic services will enhance any smile, and after a comprehensive exam, we'll present a treatment plan custom designed with the perfect techniques to build your beautiful smile. A new smile not only can enhance your appearance, it also can change your life. It can help you look younger, boost you confidence and renew your sense of self-esteem.
Veneers
Veneers are thin layers of porcelain, custom shaped and colored to your specifications. The veneers are placed over your front teeth to mask cracks, chips, discoloration, and imperfections. Veneers will recreate your smile. Our veneers look natural and do not stain as easily as natural teeth. From NO PREP veneers to slight modification veneers. Dr. Castleberry uses an array of techniques to enhance their patients' smiles with veneers.
Composite (tooth colored) fillings
Dr. Castleberry fills areas of active decay (cavities) with tooth-colored fillings to maintain your healthy naturally white smile. We can replace older discolored metal amalgams with tooth colored fillings, which are a conservative and mercury-free option.
Bonding
Bonding is a method of restoring decayed teeth, making cosmetic improvements, changing the color of teeth or reshaping teeth with a composite resin filling. First, a thin coating of a plastic material is applied on the front surface of the teeth. A bonding material is then applied and sculpted, colored and shaped to provide an attractive, natural looking result. A high-intensity light then hardens the plastic and the surface is finely polished.
Porcelain Crowns
When you have a damaged or weakened tooth, Dr. Castleberry may recommend a crown, a tooth colored shaped restoration that covers and strengthens the natural tooth.
Bridges
A dental bridge is a custom made false tooth or teeth that is permanently placed between two healthy teeth, filling in the area left by a missing tooth or teeth. The bridge is held in place by porcelain crowns which are placed on the healthy teeth on each side of the space left to be filled. A bridge created by a cosmetic dentist can be completely metal–free. As a result, such a bridge absorbs light, creating a natural looking smile. Bridges reduce the risk of gum disease, help correct some bite problems and help improve speech.
Dental Implants
Dental implants offer the most natural option for prosthetic teeth. After a comprehensive evaluation, Dr. Castleberry may recommend Implants, which will provide strong anchors for handcrafted restorations. Dentures and Bridges may also be anchored to dental implants. If you want a secure, fully functional, and beautiful prosthetic, dental implants may be your solution
Gum Recontouring
The aesthetic framing of the gum tissue is as important to the teeth as a quality frame is to and artists' painting. Contouring is basically a simple gum lift, but makes a tremendous difference to one's smile. The use of an Electro-surge or laser and a topical anesthetic quickly reshape the gum line creating an even more beautiful smile!
Smile Consultations
Since the beginning of their dental careers, Dr Castleberry has transformed thousands of smiles with cosmetic dentistry. Give us a call today, we will provide a comprehensive plan with general, restorative, and or cosmetic services to create the smile of your dreams. You deserve a smile that conveys your inner beauty, the real you.
Full Mouth Rehabilitation
What Happens During the Office Visits? Full-mouth rehabilitation involves a preparation appointment and seating appointment. During the preparation appointment, Dr. Castleberry will remove all of your old restorations and any decay that has occurred. Then, impressions of underlying healthy tooth structure are made and temporary teeth are made. These temporaries are worn until the final appointment, about 3 weeks later. At the seating appointment, your temporaries are removed and the final restorations are placed, creating an attractive, rejuvenated smile.
How Do I Know Whether I am a Candidate for Full Mouth Rehabilitation? If your teeth appear short and worn, or completely overlap your bottom teeth, or if you experience pain in the jaw joint, headaches, back pain, muscle tenderness or clicking of the jaw, then you should consider this procedure. Having a beautiful smile is important and this procedure will give you that, along with alleviating the cause of the problem.
When a patient has worn their teeth down dramatically, or the teeth are broken and crumbling, full mouth rehabilitation may be needed to restore proper bite function and enhance appearance.
Dr. Castleberry can create for you a healthy, natural looking and beautiful smile in as little as two visits.
Smile Design
Smile Design is simply the complete transformation of your smile. Crooked teeth can be straightened. Missing teeth can be replaced. Worn or chipped teeth can be restored. Stained teeth can be whitened. Ugly and "unhealthy" silver-mercury amalgams can be replaced with natural looking restorations. Gums can be contoured to reveal more of your teeth, reducing the appearance of a "gummy" smile. Like you, your smile is unique. We take a series of photos, impressions, and facial measurements to help us create a smile that is in proportion to your bone structure, age, and gender. We want your smile to enhance your appearance and look completely natural. The possibilities are endless.
The days of silver mercury fillings are now nearly obsolete. Our practice uses no silver mercury, and will be happy to assist you in replacing older, failing amalgam restorations. Today's porcelain inlays and composite resins create fillings that are not only natural looking, but also stronger than materials of the past.
When you smile or speak, do you reveal a mouth filled with sliver fillings? Yes, silver mercury amalgams are unattractive, but they can also be detrimental to your teeth. The metal is extremely reactive to hot and clod and expands and contracts when exposed to changes in temperature. As a result, your teeth can crack or break. Harmful bacteria can get beneath the filling, causing decay.
Dr. Castleberry insists on restoring teeth with porcelain inlays and composite inlays, mercury free dentistry that is more attractive than, metal and also strengths the teeth. While traditional fillings can reduce tooth strength up to 50%, inlays and onlays can actually increase tooth strength by up to 75%, lasting from 5-30 years.

Instant Ortho
If you've always wanted a straight smile, or if you had braces as a teenager, but your teeth have shifted over time, instant orthodontics can give you a straight, white, smooth, even smile in as little as two to three visits. Instant orthodontics is the use of porcelain facings, bonded to the natural tooth structure and sculpted to the desired shape and size. The result is a smile that is absolutely stunning.
Invisalign
Invisalign is a ground breaking, alternative way to straighten your teeth without conventional braces. Invisalign uses a series of removable clear aligners that are virtually invisible, so that you don't have to worry about your appearance. You can take them out for daily necessities like eating, drinking, brushing, and flossing. Comfortable, convenient, and complimentary to your smile, Invisalign is the preferred method of teeth alignment for patients.
