Dr. Castleberry’s start in dentistry began at the Meharry Medical College School of Dentistry. Following graduation, he completed a General Practice Residency with the United States Navy. Throughout his service, he was the recipient of numerous awards, including The Navy Achievement Medal, The Armed Forces Expeditionary Medal, The Navy Expeditionary Medal, and The Fleet Marine Force Ribbon. Perhaps even more impressive, he earned the nickname “Painless” from his fellow Marines – a testament to his ability to erase his patients’ dental fears.
Today, Dr. Castleberry continues to provide those in his treatment chair with the absolute best care. It hasn’t gone unnoticed either. In fact, he was recognized by H-Texas Magazine as one of the top cosmetic dental offices in America! To this day, he pursues continuing education with world-renowned institutes, like the Las Vegas Institute (LVI) for Advanced Dental Studies. Plus, he is an active member of several notable organizations, including the National Dental Association, the Academy of General Dentistry, and the Texas Dental Association. His commitment to both his craft and his patients has led him to earning Fellowship status in The International Congress of Oral Implantologists (ICOI) too.
A native Houstonian, Dr. Castleberry is proud to be using his extensive experience, advanced training, and exceptional talent to help his friends and neighbors smile. When he isn’t at the office, he enjoys spending time in God’s word, golfing, playing fantasy football, and exercising. He also is the proud father of his son, Darrick Castleberry Jr.
